Mobile Mechanic
You are busy. You can't pack up and spend the morning in the dealership waiting room. The chairs are sticky, the carpet is dirty, the TV is too loud, and the toys remind you of Sid's Room in Toy Story.
I come to your home or office to maintain your vehicle, so you don’t lose family time or work time. Most jobs take an hour or two while you get on with your day. Serving Champaign / Urbana / Savoy / Mahomet / Monticello.

More Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
A few more details that come to mind?
Do you buy the parts or does the customer need to purchase the parts?
I buy the parts and pass the cost to you (you will get the receipt). I prefer to use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, but also use certain parts from NAPA and Advance Auto Parts which have good quality aftermarket and remanufactured parts.
I don’t make any money on parts. The customer is billed only for the total cost of parts including applicable taxes.
Do your drain the oil or use an oil extractor (suction method)?
When practical, I use the oil extractor. It is cleaner and safer.
Before every oil change, we run the engine for 5 minutes to warm the engine oil and bring any grunge into the oil solution. This prevents grunge settling and makes extraction effective. The extraction method removes about 97% of the engine oil.
Every oil change receives a new oil filter.
What do you do with the used engine oil and spent parts?
All used fluids and parts are commercially recycled (when possible). Some are returned for core exchange and then remanufactured.
In most cases, there is a pass through charge for fluid recycling. We are getting too big to be considered DIY fluid drop off.
For “Time and Material” projects, what is your hourly rate?
I charge $100 per hour (one hour minimum unless we are also performing other services on your vehicle) for the amount of time spent on your project. As a Bespoke mechanic, I don’t use “book hours” because I want to do the job right, not necessarily fast. In the long run, everyone is happier.
What jobs are you not equipped to accomplish?
Wheel alignments (I don’t have an alignment machine)
Major engine repairs (maybe call me about this one, we can work something out)
Air conditioning / HVAC (I cannot capture freon)
Coolant system flush (hard to recycle spent coolant)
Tire mounting/balance (I don’t have a tire machine)
Roadside emergency services (that is another level of crazy)
Body/paint repair (my wife won’t let me paint walls)
Electrical issues (know your limits)
